Welcome to the Stav Jewelry website. The website is operated by Stav Jewelry (סתיו תכשיטים), a Jerusalem business with a jewelry store and workshop at 40 Emek Refaim Street, Jerusalem, Israel (“Stav Jewelry”, “we” or “the website”). These terms govern the use of the website and the purchase of products through it.

Browsing the website or placing an order constitutes acceptance of these terms. If any provision of these terms derogates from a right that cannot be waived under Israeli law, the provisions of the law prevail.

We make every effort to present accurate information on the website, including descriptions, materials, sizes, prices and photographs. However, colors and dimensions may look slightly different on different screens. Handmade jewelry, gemstones and natural materials may show slight variations in shade, shape, texture or detail; such natural and reasonable variations are not necessarily a defect.

If there is a material error in a description or price, we will contact you before the product is supplied. We will not charge a customer under a corrected transaction without their consent.

3. Orders and availability

Submitting an order on the website is a request to purchase. The transaction is complete once payment has been approved and you have received an order confirmation from us. An automatic acknowledgment that your request was received does not guarantee that the product is available or that the order has been finally approved.

If we are unable to supply a product that was ordered, we will let you know as soon as possible and offer, as appropriate, an alternative delivery date, an alternative product with the customer’s consent, or cancellation and a full refund of the amount paid for that product.

We may decline an order in the case of an obvious error, reasonable suspicion of fraud, payment failure, misuse of the website or a legal impediment. Any such decision will be made in good faith and in accordance with the law.

4. Prices and payment

Prices on the website are shown in New Israeli Shekels (₪) unless stated otherwise. The final price, applicable taxes and shipping charges are shown before you confirm the order. The available payment methods are those shown at checkout at the time of purchase.

The order will be processed once the payment method has been approved. Payment details are processed by secure payment providers in accordance with their terms; Stav Jewelry does not store full credit card details on the website.

5. Shipping and pickup

Orders placed on the website are shipped to addresses in Israel and abroad, according to the shipping options offered at checkout for the destination address. Within Israel, standard delivery is free of charge, and express delivery is offered for ₪50, subject to availability. For international orders, the shipping method, cost and estimated delivery time depend on the destination, as set out in our Shipping Policy and shown at checkout. If no shipping option is shown at checkout for a particular address, please contact us before ordering. You may also collect your order free of charge from our store at 40 Emek Refaim Street, Jerusalem, once we have let you know that it is ready. The shipping options, cost and estimated delivery date shown at checkout when you place the order are the ones that apply to that order.

For international orders, customs duties, import taxes and fees charged by the destination country are not included in the price unless explicitly shown at checkout, and are paid by the customer.

Delivery times are estimates and may change due to high demand, availability, production work, the shipping company, customs clearance, the security situation or circumstances beyond our control. In the event of a significant delay, we will keep you updated as far as possible.

6. Custom orders, engraving and adjustments

For a custom order or a made-to-order design, we will confirm in writing, as needed, the details of the design, size, material, stone, price and schedule. Production will begin once the details have been approved and the agreed payment has been made. A change requested after approval may change the price and the delivery date, and will be made only after it has been agreed.

The customer is responsible for providing the correct size and details. We are happy to help you choose a size, but re-sizing because of incorrect details that were provided may involve a charge.

7. Cancellation, returns and exchanges

Cancellations and returns are handled in accordance with the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, the Consumer Protection Regulations (Cancellation of Transaction), 5771-2010, and any other applicable law. Further details are also set out in our Refund Policy.

Purchases on the website or by phone (distance sales)

In a distance sale, a cancellation notice may be given within the period set by law, which is usually within 14 days of receiving the product or of receiving the document setting out the transaction details, whichever is later. Groups entitled to a special cancellation period under the law, including in certain cases people with disabilities, senior citizens and new immigrants, will receive it in accordance with the conditions set by law.

A cancellation notice may be given by email to stavjewelry@gmail.com, by phone at +972-2-563-7059, or through the contact form on the website. Please include your name, order number and contact details.

If the cancellation is not due to a defect, non-conformity, late delivery or another breach on our part, we may charge a cancellation fee of up to 5% of the transaction price or ₪100, whichever is lower, to the extent permitted by law. No cancellation fee will be charged in the case of a defect, non-conformity or any other ground on which the law prohibits a cancellation fee.

Refunds are made within 14 days of receiving the cancellation notice, to the payment method used for the purchase, less any applicable cancellation fee. Shipping costs are not refunded unless the product arrived faulty.

A returned product is to be delivered to the Stav Jewelry store, 40 Emek Refaim Street, Jerusalem, Israel, by prior arrangement. For returns from abroad, the product must be sent to this address using a tracked postal or courier service; Stav Jewelry is not responsible for a return shipment that does not reach us. In an ordinary cancellation, the cost of and responsibility for returning the product are borne by the customer, unless the law provides otherwise. We recommend returning the product in its original packaging where possible. Customs duties and import taxes paid in the destination country are not refunded by Stav Jewelry.

In a distance sale, opening the packaging or using the product does not automatically cancel the right of cancellation set by law. However, the jewelry must be returned without delay and, as far as possible, in the condition in which it was received. If the jewelry has been damaged or its condition has significantly deteriorated (for example scratches, bending, damage to a stone or any other change that occurred after delivery), Stav Jewelry reserves its rights to claim the proven damage in accordance with the law. Nothing in the above makes acceptance of the cancellation notice itself conditional on the product being unused.

Jewelry made specifically to measurements or special requirements, engraved jewelry, or a product that has been personally altered may be excluded from the right of cancellation once production has begun, in accordance with the conditions and exclusions set by law. If production has not yet begun, we will act in accordance with the cancellation rights set by law.

Purchases in our physical store

The cancellation rules for in-store purchases differ from those for distance sales. Jewelry for which the price paid does not exceed ₪3,000 may be cancelled from the day of purchase, not counting the day of purchase itself, until the end of two days that are not rest days after it, provided that the jewelry has not been used and proof of purchase is presented, and in accordance with the conditions set by law.

For jewelry for which the price paid exceeds ₪3,000, other than watches, the right of cancellation set by the regulations for in-person transactions does not apply. This does not derogate from any rights in the case of a defect, non-conformity, misleading information or any other ground under the law, or from any more favorable policy that Stav Jewelry has expressly approved.

8. Warranty and repairs

Stav Jewelry provides a one-year warranty from the date of purchase for manufacturing defects, subject to proof of purchase and inspection of the jewelry. The warranty does not cover reasonable wear and tear, scratches, loss, theft, accidental damage, unreasonable use, exposure to harmful substances or repairs carried out by another party.

If there is any problem, please contact us before bringing in the jewelry. After inspection, we will let you know whether the repair is covered by the warranty and, if not, what the estimated cost is. This warranty does not derogate from the customer’s rights under any law.

9. Use of the website and intellectual property

The website may be used for personal and lawful purposes only. You may not copy, publish, sell, modify, reverse-engineer or make commercial use of the website’s content, photographs, designs, marks or databases without prior written permission, except for use permitted by law.

You may not use the website in a way that may harm its security, its operation, other customers or the rights of third parties.

10. Privacy and third-party services

The use of personal information is subject to the Privacy Policy published on the website. The website may use third-party services, including payment processing, shipping, traffic analytics and the e-commerce platform. Use of these services may also be subject to the terms of the relevant provider.

11. Website liability

We work to keep the website functional, secure and up to date, but faults, temporary interruptions or errors may occur. To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect damage that was not reasonably foreseeable and was not caused by a breach on our part. Nothing in these terms exempts us from liability that cannot be limited under the law.

Links to external websites are provided for convenience only. We have no control over their content or policies, and liability for their use is governed by the terms of the external website and the law.

12. Governing law and changes to these terms

The laws of the State of Israel apply to the use of the website and to transactions with Stav Jewelry. Jurisdiction will be determined in accordance with the law.

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page and will apply from the date of publication onward. An order that has already been confirmed is governed by the version in force at the time of the order, unless a later change is required by law or is more favorable to the customer.
