Lab-grown or natural diamond: which is right for your engagement ring?
In short: both are real diamonds. Theyโre made of exactly the same material, carbon, and theyโre just as hard and just as sparkly. The difference is where they formed and how much they cost. Thatโs the position of GIA (a long-established international lab that grades diamonds and issues certificates for them). A natural diamond formed in the earth over millions of years. A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond grown in a lab rather than mined from the earth. If getting a bigger stone for the same budget matters most to you, a lab-grown diamond will give you more. If it matters to you that the stone formed in nature, choose a natural diamond. Thereโs no right or wrong choice here, only what feels right to you.

How much difference does it make to the price?
In exactly the same design, a natural diamond usually costs much more than a lab-grown diamond. The difference is easier to understand when you see both options side by side, and weโd be happy to show them to you in the store or send you both on WhatsApp. To give you a sense of it, our engagement rings usually start at about โช3,000, and with a larger diamond they go beyond โช10,000. Does it come with a certificate?
Some of our rings come with a gemological certificate (a document from a professional lab that lists the diamondโs details), and this is stated on each ringโs page. Ask us about the design youโre interested in.
